Patricia's musing at Panat

On warm summer days at Panat there is plenty of time to "muse" about musicological questions in the cool of our vine-shaded terrace. These Musings sometimes take place to the recorder music of Euterpe, the Muse of Music.

I have put some of these Musicological Musings to paper and am sharing them, in hopes that the questions I ask may help advance other people's research as well as my own.

These Musings are subdivided into two main categories. One  focuses upon composer Marc-Antoine Charpentier

The other Musings deal with word-music relationships and the pronunciation of both French and Latin.

And in October 2006 she began a page called "Factoids" where she shares facts (primarily about Charpentier and the Guises) that have not been mentioned in her writings.

Factlets        Charpentier        Word-Music Relations
